MERCER ISLAND, WA – New research conducted by Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) reveals that more than twice as many companies (23.8 %) affiliated with C12, a global network of Christian CEOs and executives, develop flourishing workplaces than other for-profit companies (9.10 %).
The study also shows that C12 organizations scored higher in overall employee engagement—the biggest determining factor of a healthy-to-flourishing workplace culture—than other for-profit organizations.
“This is significant for Christian leaders, because it reinforces the effectiveness of C12’s curriculum and resources, enabling our members to faithfully conduct business in a God-honoring way,” says C12 CEO, Mike Sharrow.
BCWI CEO and Cofounder, Al Lopus, notes, “C12 and their participating organizations well know that a flourishing workplace culture creates a life-giving cycle: retention of productive talent, service excellence, customer loyalty, revenue growth, and profitability.”
Employee engagement by C12 organizations was most impacted by Life-Giving Work and Inspirational Leadership, two of the eight factors that anchor BCWI’s FLOURISH Model.
The study involved 40 C12 organizations that have surveyed their employees with BCWI’s employee engagement survey from 2014-2019, and 22 for-profit organizations not affiliated with C12.
While equipping hundreds of leaders to build thriving organizational cultures since 2002, BCWI has pioneered proven proprietary systems designed to increase employee engagement, the greatest determinant of a healthy, even flourishing workplace culture. BCWI has served more than 1,100 Christian-owned businesses, churches, and faith-based non-profits in the U.S., Canada, and worldwide.
C12 is the largest network of Christian CEOs and executives working together to increase company performance, integrate faith and business, and achieve excellence through the power of peers. Founded in 1992, C12 has become the trusted authority on incorporating business best practices with the foundation of Biblical principles and core values. Groups of faith-driven, results-minded CEOs and executives meet monthly to encourage and challenge one another to make better decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and create solid plans for business growth, all while striving to create eternal impact far beyond the bottom line.
