BCWI Announces Doug Waldo as new Senior Consultant

Al Lopus and Jay Bransford are pleased to announce the addition of a new Senior Consultant to our team. We welcome Doug Waldo Ph.D. from Sarasota Florida.

Doug has over 25 years of senior leadership experience, including multiple roles as director, CEO, and chairperson. Doug began his career as a consultant with a workplace assessment publisher where he led a team of I/O psychologists and talent consultants in designing employee selection and development systems - incorporating psychometric surveys, 360-degree feedback, and culture surveys to achieve measurable performance outcomes.

After guiding a merger and acquisition process for the company, Doug joined with partners in the US and Australia to launch a global organizational development consultancy. During his tenure, Doug authored the REACH Quotient, a survey-based solution for people and culture development used around the world by trainers, coaches, and organizational development professionals. In addition to roles as practitioner and senior executive, Doug has extensive experience in academia specializing in HR development and strategic leadership. In this capacity, he designed one of the nation’s first Master’s degrees in strategic leadership from a Christian worldview. He serves as a professor, mentor, and doctoral research chair in Christ-centered graduate school programs. He contributes to a number of scholarly conferences and publications serving with the editorial boards for Journal of Leadership and Management, Journal of Global Education and Research (HR subject area editor), and the Universal Journal of Management. Doug is a member of the advisory board for the OrgDev Institute of Australia.

Doug holds the Senior Certified Professional certification from SHRM and the Senior Professional in HR from HRCI. In addition, he holds a certificate in equal employment opportunity studies from Cornell University and a certificate in decision sciences from the Wharton School of Business. Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Palm Beach Atlantic University as well as a master’s degree (human resources) and a doctorate (organizational economics), both from the University of Sarasota. Since completing his professional education, he has taken systematic theology courses from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Doug has extensive experience in serving and supporting non-profit ministry organizations. He has served on the board of directors for Bradenton Christian School, Bradenton Christian Foundation, and New Hope in Christ International Ministries with a focus on engaging diverse talent in light of Ephesians 2:8-10. Currently, Doug serves as an elder in his church, teaches Sunday School (11th/12th grades), and plays guitar on the praise team.

Doug, his wife Lisa, and their three children live in Florida. They enjoy spending time outdoors including gardening, kayaking, and tennis.
