Best Christian Workplaces Institute, the global consulting group whose mission is to help Christian organizations build a flourishing workplace culture, has named Barry Slauenwhite its first Canadian Regional Director.
Slauenwhite, who recently completed 26 years as President/CEO of Compassion Canada, one of the country’s largest non-profit charities, comes to BCWI with four decades of leadership experience and an understanding of leaders who want to resolve current workplace issues.
“Barry’s exceptional leadership experience, pastor’s heart, and Canadian roots uniquely qualify him to coach leaders who want to create greater trust, unity, and effectiveness in their workplace. He is a skilled listener and strategic thinker who empowers people to pinpoint problems and find solutions, so they can take their culture to the next level,” says BCWI President, Al Lopus.
“During my tenure as CEO of Compassion Canada, we experienced 1,100 percent growth, and the greatest reason was BCWI’s principled, proven approach to help us build a healthy, flourishing culture,” says Slauenwhite. “I look forward to serving Canadian churches, parachurch organizations, and Christian-led companies that want to better their culture, fulfill their unique mission, and thus advance the Kingdom of God in Canada,” says Slauenwhite, who will operate out of London, Ontario.
With a Masters in Christian Leadership from CREST Leadership Centre, Slauenwhite is a former board chair of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities. A certified governance coach, he has mentored numerous leaders throughout Canada and around the world.
Barry invites Canadian ministries and businesses to connect with him and explore how he can partner with you to build a flourishing workplace.
