Tara VanderSande is a Senior Engagement & Talent Consultant at Best Christian Workplaces (BCW). She values implementing best practices that increase employee and volunteer engagement and seeks ways to elevate managerial competence to unlock organizational outcomes. At BCW, she walks alongside ministry partners, like your organization, as they participate in Employee Engagement Surveys, Leadership 360s, and other BCW culture-building services.
Tara is an experienced organizational leadership and engagement consultant who has served Christian non-profits such as the Best Christian Workplace Institute, Christian Leadership Alliance, Human Resource Ministry Network, and The Salvation Army. Her background includes eight years in management at Aon-Hewitt and a decade developing talent at Willow Creek Community Church.

Tara specializes in strengthening employee engagement, managerial capability, and organizational health. She leads workshops and coaches high-capacity professionals and emerging leaders to amplify both their effectiveness and their ministry impact. Tara is an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University and a certified facilitator with the Ken Blanchard Institute, Korn-Ferry, EQ-i 2.0, and Myers-Briggs organizations. She holds a BA in Psychology and Business from Bradley University.
Tara, her husband Rich, and their son live in Florida where they love to golf. Tara is an avid learner who has studied topics ranging from brain research to computer programming, and she is always up for the next adventure.
